To create the Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros, the Maestros Roneros choose from the aging cellars of the Havana Club the finest aged rum, which stand out for their special properties. These selected rums are then aged in specially selected barrels, re selected by Maestros Roneros for their strong wood aroma, where the rum develops character and intensity. At the end of this aging process, Maestros Roneros collectively select the rum that will be the final blend, which is bottled directly from the barrel, at 45 alcohol degrees. This special finish, the "Cuban Barrel Proof", gives the Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros its incomparable bouquet of perfumes and its exceptional quality.
