Wine Cuvee Gerontampelo White Argyros Estate. Argyros Estate's approach to a special Santorini wine style, Assyrtiko in barrel. A very strict selection from very old Assyrtiko vines, at least 150 years old, in Pyrgos and Megalochori. It ferments in large French oak barrels, and ages there for twelve months with the lees, while then remaining for another twelve months in stainless steel tanks, without lees removal. It needs several years in the bottle to escape its youth, while evolving for more than 15 years.
