Rum Mount Gay XO. The history of Mount Gay Rum begins in the Caribbean and specifically in the islands of Barbados to 1703 being the most important of the three island distilleries. A common feature of all its spirits is the delicate fruity character that makes rum especially popular even on palates that are unfamiliar with rum. The emblematic rum of the Mount Gay XO distillery, is rich and complex and results from a selection of the best spirits that have aged for 8-15 years with the time giving elegance and harmony. Intoxicating aromas of ripe banana, vanilla, tobacco and dried flowers alternate and lead to a pleasant spicy and velvety finish.
